What is your primary product or service?
Millennium Optical specializes in exclusive eyeware, including designer frames, hi-tech prescription lenses, fashion reading glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and eyeware accessories.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My husband is a board-certified ophthalmologist and after working with him at International Eye Associates for many years, decided to open the Millennium Optical when we moved to our new facility on Hand Avenue.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I was born and raised in north Italy and have brought my European taste and culture to the store. I travel to Europe several times a year and attend the International trade shows in Milan and Paris. I have been able to establish valuable contacts with the artisans who manufacture the frames in Italy and purchase the latest fashions directly from the factories, even before they have been introduced to the US. This is also the case for many lines of accessories which reflect my Italian background and taste. Thus, we have products that are exclusive and in some cases not available anywhere else in the US.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
At present, we are only located at the Millennium Medical Park, but if all continues to go well as planned, we may open a satellite store in the future.

We are located in the Millennium Medical Park at 1545 Hand Avenue. This is just west of the corner of Hand Avenue and Clyde Morris Blvd. Coming from I-95, exit at State Road 40 (Granada Blvd) going east. Make the first right onto Williamson, then left on Hand Avenue, arriving at the Millennium Medical Park on the left before reaching Clyde Morris Blvd.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash and credit, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Which areas do you service?
Although most customers are from Volusia and Flagler counties, we have customers coming from the Orlando area and all over Central and North Florida.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am the owner and president. We have board certified and licensed opticians to assure the highest quality service possible.
What are your hours of operation?
Normal hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 6:00, but private showings and consultations are available after hours and on weekends by appointment.
